…as one of the nation's most loved quiz shows, Strike it Lucky, comes to interactive DVD.

Fremantle Home Entertainment is proud to announce the release of Strike it Lucky on interactive DVD on 13 November 2006.

Strike it Lucky was one of the biggest shows of the '80s and '90s, regularly pulling in audiences of more than 14.5 million viewers. Hosted by Michael Barrymore, it quickly became one of the nations most loved quiz shows.

Now Strike It Lucky comes to interactive DVD with over 2,000 questions to test the grey matter and Michael Barrymore to provide plenty of fun to link the game play in his own unique style!
Michael's popularity with the general public was confirmed earlier this year when he came second in Celebrity Big Brother and is soon to appear in the touring production of Scrooge. He has also just published his autobiography, Awight Now – Setting the Record Straight.

"Strike It Lucky has certainly given me some of the best moments of my career," says Michael "and I am absolutely thrilled and honoured to not only be part of the DVD game version, but also proud to see this iconic gameshow back on the screen!"

GAME PLAY:

Following intensive consumer research Fremantle Home Entertainment has produced an interactive game that has stayed very loyal to the original look and format of Strike it Lucky and Michael spent two days filming links for the DVD to ensure a clear, simple and most of all, entertaining experience.

Up to 3 players or teams can pit their wits against each other as they move across the series of screens answering questions and trying to avoid the dreaded Hot Spots! Once the victorious team has been determined they get to choose "Top, Middle or Bottom" in order to avoid the Hot Spots and losing one of their five 'lives'.

If the team is victorious in their bid to win the game and answer the final jackpot question correctly, they also get the added bonus of the opportunity to enter a fantastic competition to win a complete HDTV system!
