"Welcome aboard the Spicebus for a rollercoaster ride around London with The Spice Girls in their debut movie Spiceworld." Michael gives a lively perfomance in this film as Mr Step, the dance instuctor. Mr Step is in charge of a dance camp that the girls are sent to as they prepare for their first live show. The whole thing is, of course, ridiculous and way over the top, but then that's the point and it is actually all good fun. The same could be said of all 88 minutes of the film. It is very watchable, even when Michael is not on screen, which, sad to say, is most of the time. In fact, Michael's role is only around three and a half minutes. Never mind, it's an enjoyable enough way to spend an hour and half and you can't complain at the price either; I've seen it in HMV for just £4.99. |
