On the 5th January, Michael entered the Big Brother house. If he had been unsure of the welcome he would receive the rapturous applause and chorus of cheers from the crowds soon dispelled any worries. It was an emotional evening leaving many with a lump in the throat, and a tear in the eye; the support was unbelievable. But then, here in the UK, there are still plenty of Michael's Kind of People. Following Michael down the red carpet were nine other celebrities: Dennis, Maggott, Preston, Pete, Rula, Traci, Jodie, Faria and George. The term 'celebrity' is fairly loosely applied on this show (maybe it's just me, but I had never heard of a couple of them) and in a suprise move by the programme makers an eleventh contestant, Chantelle, was waiting in the house already.
