Brittania games seem to specialise in conversions of TV game shows, others in the range include Family Fortunes, Catch Phrase, Play Your Cards Right and Supermarket Sweep - although how you would play Supermarket Sweep in your living room beats me!That said, for Strike it Rich you have a miniature version of the TV set. The instructions appear daunting at first - two sides of an A4 sheet in three columns - until you realise that the first half of the game plays almost exactly like the TV show without, of course, the spot prizes. The second half of the game is played slightly differently to on the TV show with all three teams playing at the same time. This works well and I wonder if this was ever considered for the 'real' game. To play this game you do need at least three people. It is an advantage, too, if you can find a fourth person to play Michael's part. A feature of this game is the Hot Spot sound ( batteries included ). It adds nothing to the gameplay, but is good fun and a nice touch. Finally, as this is a Michael Barrymore web-site, I feel I am allowed make a little criticism. Michael doesn't feature anywhere. Not on the box, in the instructions or on any of the playing pieces. No photo or any mention his name at all. Still, if you're a fan of the game, this is a fairly close reproduction. Expect to pay around £14.99.
