NATIONAL TELEVISION AWARDS 2001 |
|
|
The National Television Awards are now in their 7th year. Michael has been nominated for 'Most popular entertainment presenter' and has 4 nominations in the 'Most popular entertainment programme' category. Voting forms are available from any post office but you only have until the 27th of July to get your vote in. Remember - Michael has won an award at this ceremony every year since it began, something no one else has achieved. This year? We'll have to wait and see, there is some strong competition. |

Most popular entertainment presenter: There are 20 nominations in this category. Anne Robinson has had a very good year and so must be considered as a favourite. Les Dennis is in there too. Don't forget the vote is for 'most popular' and Les is certainly popular. So is Lily Savage, who is almost worth a vote just hear the acceptance speech. Another strong contender is Graham Norton. He can be very funny, but surely his humour is little too near the knuckle, keeping him on late night TV, to count him as truely 'popular'. Shame, really. I like him. Right then. You can't say that I haven't considered the others. I'm voting for Michael Barrymore.
Most popular entertainment programme:
I fear, though, that with votes for Michael split 4 ways the hugely successful 'Popstars' could steal the day.
